Price ReviewPosted on Friday Jan 8 10:51:00 GMT 2010 After looking at what, our competitors were charging for Postage and Packing, and after reviewing our survey results I have reduced our general postage to £5 from £6.99 and have now put the postage into bands as well with free postage on all the All year round packs and orders over £100 before P&P.
I have also reviewed some of our prices, but a lot of prices have not changed by much and some not at all, some have actually gone down slightly some have gone up slightly.
On a number of the packs I have changed the price this is not to increase profit or anything at all like that it is purely that when I reviewed what was actually being sent out in them and what I would like to send out in them this year they were priced all wrong for what was in them? And this therefore needed to be addressed.
The packs are now priced according to what is in them with a good discount compared to buying the items individually and reflecting the fact that all single plant items this year are being grown in pots which obviously incurs extra cost.
All in all I think we offer something different in the fact we have such a large choice and still remain competitive in what is? An increasingly challenging market and a fast growing one.
And remember being a small family business means we can have the flexibility In what we can offer you the customer, that many of the bigger companies cannot offer. |
